The Adventures of Sir "B"

Sir Braggadocio was born on August 17, 2008.  Herndon Farms donated him as a bottle baby to the Lamar Arkansas FFA Chapter.  This chapter raises animals on their farm, and conducts petting zoos for the community.  They were very happy to add a Miniature Zebu to their farm.

On August 18, Ryan Warren and  Chris Holland along with their advisor, Chris Bacchus, came to the farm to meet the Miniature Zebu cattle, and to take home their new baby.

This page is dedicated to the adventures of Sir "B" and the Lamar FFA Chapter.

The International Miniature Association (IMZA) graciously agreed to pay all membership and registration fees for this FFA Chapter.  We welcome the Lamar FFA to the Miniature Zebu Cattle family.

Sir "B" at home in Arkansas

This is an email that I received from Chris Bacchus at the Lamar FFA Arkansas  Chapter, one of the few 3 star FFA Chapters in the nation.

Sir “B” is doing great!  We still love him!  And…he is getting SO much attention. Ha.  Our County Fair was last week and we took him with the purpose of just displaying him throughout the week and then we were going to enter him in the pet show on Saturday.  Well, our numbers were kind of down this year (with feed prices I understand why) and so the beef superintendent came to me the morning of the show and said that they didn’t have any Junior bulls entered and that they already had a chair made so they were going to enter him in the bull show!  So, Sir “B” was the Supreme Champion Bull at our County Fair and received a directors chair and then the Supreme bull goes in the premium sale (premium money only) so we made over $1000 for our FFA Chapter in the premium sale with him.  The judge had a blast with it too!  He was a former “steer jock” and he kept going on about how cool it was to judge a miniature cow, and he had to take lots of pictures with him acting like he was showing him with a big cattle stick and so forth.  It was great!  In the pet show, he won “Cutest Pet” as well, which was a given. Haha.

Sir B will be going to the Arkansas State Fair on the 10th of October and staying through the 19th for the Arkansas Farm Bureau's Ag In Action exhibit.  Then he will get lots of attention on Halloween day because all of the Kindergarten and 1st grade students are coming over for our Fall Fun Day.
